Thankfully it was able to be bandaged at home, and since all the prep work for the meal was done, outside reinforcements were not needed and we had a lovely dinner of roasted salmon with cubed potatoes and summer squash.The product gets 4 stars simply because “out of the box” warning stickers to read instructions carefully should be covering the blades.
Five seconds after trying to pry the chopping blade out with my HAND (did not learn anything from ER visit #1 and had not read as far as direction number 8) I was running my hand under water and calling for bandaids. Five minutes later I had perfectly cubed 3 large potatoes. Then I carefully removed the blade, and carefully inserted the chopping blade. Sunday I read the part in #3 where you SLIDE the blade in instead of forcing it in and I successfully sliced earlier mentioned squash. Free shout out to Chipotle for dinner Friday night. I’m pretty handy with the sharpest of knives and have enough hubris to scoff at directions so I just opened this bad boy up to slice some squash for dinner and 15 minutes later was headed to the closest Urgent Care for stitches. I’ve been doing a lot of meal prep recently and decided to buy a gadget to speed up the veg chopping process.
